We handle your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU).
Data collected
When you book, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional), stay dates, any special requests and payment data. Card data never transits through our servers — it is handled directly by Stripe (PCI-DSS level 1).
Purpose
Your data is used only to manage your booking, communicate with you (confirmation, changes, cancellation), comply with our legal and accounting obligations, and improve your stay.
Retention
Booking data is kept for 10 years (Swiss accounting requirement). Outreach data (if you write to us without booking) is deleted after 12 months.
Cookies
We use a single technical cookie to remember your language. We use no advertising trackers, no Facebook or Google pixels. Our audience statistics are anonymous (Umami, self-hosted in Switzerland).
Your rights
You may at any time request access, rectification or deletion of your personal data by writing to reservation@essenceciel.org. Response within 30 days.
Transfers outside EU/Switzerland
Stripe processes your payments from Ireland (EU) and the United States under the Data Privacy Framework. No other transfer outside Switzerland takes place.
